Practice
Fractional CFO Services
Most growing companies hit a point where they need more than a bookkeeper but aren't ready for a $300K CFO. We fill that gap. A few days a week, we sit alongside the CEO, run the numbers, and bring the same rigor a larger company would expect from its finance team.
Real finance leadership shouldn't require a full-time hire before you're ready for one.
What we do day to day.
We run your monthly close, build forecasts you'd be comfortable presenting to your board, set up KPI tracking that people actually use, get you through audits, and develop your finance team. It's hands-on operating work, not consulting from a distance.
What we don't do.
We don't raise capital, manage investments, or give investment advice. This is finance operations work, billed as a professional services fee. If a client is also thinking about selling or raising, we refer them to our M&A practice or to outside counsel.
What we do.
Monthly close
Getting the books closed on time, cleaning up the chart of accounts, writing accounting policies, coordinating with outside accountants.
Forecasting & FP&A
Building the operating model, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, unit economics.
Board reporting
Board decks, investor updates, KPI dashboards, variance analysis. Good reporting, not investor relations.
Audit & systems
First-audit prep, internal controls, picking and implementing ERP and FP&A tools.
Building the team
Coaching your controller, making the first finance hires, planning the handoff to a full-time CFO when it's time.
